Annual Meeting: Becoming

Becoming
Rooted in Jesus, Growing in Love

Every year, Mosaic pauses to celebrate what God has done—and to cast vision for all He’s calling us to next. Our Annual Meeting is a special all-church gathering where we will:

  1. Trace Our Story
Celebrate how God has led us in this past year—his faithfulness in every step.

  2. Share Key Updates
Review financial highlights, ministry milestones, and the votes that shape our future.

  3. Vote On Our Elder Candidate
We'll introduce Steve Modugno, our elder candidate, and his family Serina, Gracie, and Jedi. (Scroll down for bio!)

  4. Look Ahead Together
Dream about where God is taking us next as we live out our mission to know Jesus, experience freedom, find meaning, and make the world beautiful.

When & Where

Sunday, August 24th • 5:00–6:00 PM
Worship Center

This gathering isn’t about spectators—it’s about every one of us. Come be part of the conversation, celebrate our shared journey, and join in charting the course for the year ahead.

“Becoming” reminds us that we’re all on a journey together—rooted in Jesus and growing in love as we extend His story to our city and beyond.

Steve and Serina Modugno grew up in Southern California and have lived in Colorado for the past 10 years. They’ve been married for over 22 years and have 2 kids: Gracie, who’s entering high school, and Jedi, who’s entering 5th grade. They’ve all been a part of the Mosaic family for almost 5 years.

Gracie likes fashion, sports, and books. She also enjoys serving in Kidmo. Jedi’s favorite pastimes are playing with friends, playing video games, and talking about the Bible. Steve and Serina love to travel and experience new places and cultures.

Steve finished a PhD in Hebrew and Semitic Languages in 2015, but then made the “logical” shift to firefighting and has done that ever since. He is now a lieutenant with West Metro Fire Rescue and loves the excitement and opportunity for influence he has with the fire department. Steve still loves to teach the Bible and does so in the Grow Together series. Serina co-facilitates a rebuilding faith group at Mosaic. She was a teacher for several years and is now a para. Together, Steve and Serina lead a life group.

BAPTISM SUNDAY | JULY 13TH

Step Into New Life
At Mosaic, we believe that baptism is a sacred and joyful step toward experiencing the wholeness that only Jesus can provide. It’s a public declaration of faith that symbolizes being made new—moving from brokenness to renewal, from isolation to belonging, and from aimlessness to a life of purpose.

When you choose baptism, you’re declaring that Jesus has transformed your life and you’re ready to embrace the new identity He gives you. Whether you’re just beginning your faith journey or have recently made the decision to follow Jesus, this is your next step toward spiritual growth.

Why Baptism Matters

  • Transformation: Baptism reflects the inward transformation that happens when you give your life to Jesus.

  • Community: It’s a moment to celebrate with others who are on their own journeys toward wholeness.

  • Purpose: Baptism is part of stepping into your role in God’s redemptive plan, living a life of meaning and mission.

What to Expect

Our baptism services are designed to be a celebration of the new life you’re stepping into. You’ll share your decision, be baptized in front of the Mosaic family, and experience the joy of taking this meaningful step with others.

Join Us on July 13th

Ready to take this next step in your faith journey? Our next baptism service will be on July 13th, and we would love to celebrate with you.

Before we celebrate Easter, we pause to remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us. This interactive and reflective service invites you to step into the final hours before Jesus chose to give His life for us—through creative, experiential moments that make the weight of Good Friday real.

This is a night to slow down, reflect, and sit in the depth of God’s love and grace. It’s a service like none other, and we hope you’ll join us.

This service will include:

  • A meaningful, contemplative experience

  • Creative elements that bring Good Friday to life

  • Childcare available for birth through kindergarten (Older children are encouraged to attend with family)

Good Friday is just the beginning. Join us on Easter Sunday as we celebrate the hope, renewal, and new life found in Jesus.

Three Waves Leadership Care Packs

Mosaic is partnering with ALTECO and the Three Waves movement to bless on-the-ground leaders who are gathering this May. These men and women are doing incredible kingdom work in the Amazon basin—and you can help encourage them!

Between now and April 27th, we’re putting together care packs filled with sponsored items and personal notes of encouragement. This is a great opportunity to live generously and support our global partners.

Our total goal is to raise $750 to fully fund the care packages.

📍 How you can participate:

  • Visit the Missions Table on April 6th or 13th to:

    • Sponsor an item for a care pack

    • Write a personal note to a Three Waves leader

    • Learn more about how Mosaic supports global mission efforts

  • Prefer to give online? Make a financial gift toward the care packs directly.

Let’s be a part of what God is doing across the globe—one care pack at a time.
