Birthdates: Laurent (Mbanda)-10/25, Chantal-9/27 Anniversary: 4/14

Their ministry objective:   As nationals of Rwanda, God is using this couple in an amazing way. Mbanda is the Arch Bishop of the Anglican Church in Rwanda. Chantal leads the churches Women’s Union. Before taking on these roles the Mbandas began a ministry for orphans called New Hope Homes. Several years ago, all of the children were required (due to a new law) to return to some type of family living situation. Although not living in New Hope Home, the children are still being mentored and cared for (school fees, clothing, mentoring and health care) until they graduate from high school. 

Consistent area for prayer:   Pray for continued reliance on God to guide and direct in their ministry.  Pray for spiritual health and for the provision of basic needs of the children. Ask God to protect them and guide them into futures with his purposes in mind.  Pray for Mbanda as he leads, encourages and mentors pastors.  Pray that his godly influence in leadership will bear much fruit.  Pray for his leadership within other African countries as he shares wisdom in many different contexts.  Pray for God to bless the new work that the Women’s Union is developing to reduce teen pregnancy.
